Baby cards!

My friend Kami had her baby last Saturday! My mom & I had bought her some little fun outfits for when Kaidyn is tiny, since Kami said she hadn't received too many tiny sized things! I also went through my tiny stuff and gave her what I had! So of course I had to make her some cards- one from me & one from my Mom! :)
The first one is the one I gave her. I used my brand new labels 8 nesties for the funky shaped focal image. Another old SU! set, stamped in SU! close to cocoa, colored with prisma pencils, the center heart has that pink stampology ink & diamond glaze. I popped the top of the stroller up on dimensionals. The background is stamped with PTI background text, and all the edges use PTI's tea dye inks. I think the pink layer is PTI too, the ribbon is from Michael's, flower is prima (?), and button from my stash.
A little view of the inside, since I thought that was cute too! :)

This is the card I gave her from my Mom! Base is PTI, pp is Cosmo Cricket, punched with that awesome border punch (fiskars)- actually I used both of the punches! Stitched them together, and added some crazy stitching. Ribbon is PTI, and the crochet flower- yep, ME! Button from my stash. The stamping is hard to see- I used a flower from a Rubber Soul set I just bought, and the letters are CTMH. I stamped the 'baby' in white snow, and then over stamped in spring moss (the original formulation). It's very soft & pretty in person, but doesn't show well in pics!

embossing birthdays

I had 3 birthday cards that I needed done this week- all for little people! I think you can guess their ages! :) I got out the cuttlebug folder & went to town! I used CM red cardstock & PTI pink blush cardstock. I highlighted the year with dimensional glaze, and since it didn't show much on the pink one, topped it off with prismapens. Some ribbon from my stash on the red cards, as well as nesties 'frames'. And the new eksuccess border punch really looked great on the '7' card!

The paper strip is from the paper stack I got in Poulsbo 'divine'. Button from my stash. And that crocheted flower? I made it. Yep. I know, I can't believe it either- but isn't it adorable? :)
I also did some loose stitching on this one, & PTI vintage tea around the edges.

That's it for now- better get them mailed!!! Thanks for stopping by!

Moxie classy & elegant

Well here's my shot at classy & elegant! Pictures don't do it justice (darn night photos!). Blue cardstock is PTI, as are fancy flourishes stamped in versamark. Snowflake embellishments are Memory Makers. 'Joy' is SU! in versamark. The snowflake stamp is old! Now a lot of my stamps are old, but this one says PSX 1988! I think it may have been one of my first stamps, and not used in eons! I used palette fresh snow & added a rhinestone to the middle- it's much prettier in real life! Stitched around the edges to finish it off!
Thanks for checking it out!
Here's a link to check out LOTS of classy & elegant work:

Moxie stamped

This is an IMPRESS image, as is all the cardstock. It's stamped with versamark ink, then carefully chalked in two colors. Dimensional glaze was used to adhere the red seed beads.

Here's a vintage-looking card for Moxie Fab! It's on PTI mossy green cardstock, Cosmo Cricket 'believe' pp, a vintage postcard image that I sewed on, distressed the edges on & added doodlebug designs lily white sugar coating glitter to. An organza ribbon & button from my stash- twine is PTI.

grateful...

Here's another quickie card from Michael's $1 section! I stamped 'grateful' (old SU! stamp) with fresh snow ink onto ribbon from my stash. Sewed it on & added some Recollections pearls that I just got from Michaels.
I have to do a lot of thank yous for volunteer hairstylists that donate their time to Lions 4 kids ( a local resource necessities house in Bonney Lake, WA )- I'm responsible for getting them scheduled *read:cold calling local salons*- so I like to send them a thank you note!
